It is a very important, for the kids from the early days, to instill healthy food habits. But, all of us, from time to time give kids a candy or two, without thinking how harmful is that for the organism on the longer run.
In the best faith, so the kids will not be hungry, or if we don’t have time, we give kids candies, unhealthy snacks or fast food. Mostly thinking, at least they have eat something now. But, doing that often, kids are forming unhealthy food habits, and they are demanding more and more unhealthy food. In other words they are taking lots of “empty” calories without no real nutrition value.
We have to learn to be consistent and to offer kids food which is rich with vitamins, and other healthy nutrition values like organic fruits, vegetables, or cereals. Kids under 2 years is not advisable to give candies, and it is not advisable to give them candies after that age also. Otherwise, if constantly offering kids with candies, and sugar in other forms, we are bringing tham in danger to become addicted to sugar. But, it will also spoil meals for them. Kids will not want to eat fruits or vegetables, and why they would want, when it is not sweet enough!?
Our children need high quality foods, such as fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, grains, containing very essential vitamins, minerals and proteins that are extremely important for the physical and mental development of your child.
